2013 in Review

A look back on a year full of highs, lows and change for Kev and I.
We aren't too sad to see 2013 go, although it has been a year full of memorable moments both good and bad, we are ready to say sayonara. We have big plans for 2014 and we are welcoming the new year in with open arms.
Here is a look back on the past year of 2013 and the many bloggy moments

January
January came in with a bang....and not a very pleasant bang. Sweet Bailey tore his ACl and we went in survival mode to get him through 12 weeks of recovery. It makes me sick at stomach just thinking of what my sweet fur child went through. We hibernated with him all winter, slept in the living room for 3 months on a mattress, kept him pinned up under MD orders for 8 strict weeks, and slowly rehabilitated him back to short leash walks.  Read all about it here

February
Yep, you guessed it more Bailey recovery

March
Life got messy  and we started three months of non stop bad health for both of my grandmothers.

We celebrated Easter at my house as well as Bailey's 7th birthday and the success of my grandmothers heart and hip surgery.

We made it to Bailey's 8 week mark

On a positive note, Brooke and  I got my poof on with Pinkloulou herself and started a friendship with her and my girl Jill. Love these girls to pieces and so happy to call them an IRL friend.

Celebrated the Toy Chest's first benefit/gala

April
Springtime came to the Bluegrass and celebrated with the UK Blue/White game

Operation patio was a success at the old house

Double dated with one of our favorite couples

May
celebrated our min-anniversary

We a spent a little time at thursday night live and celebrated birthdays

and then i took a little bloggy break because my other grandma suffered a major heart attack putting us back to spending more time at the hospital

posted about some  spring mementos that hadn't made the bloggy yet

August
September
Shewwwww - this one was a whilrwind.
Took a bloggy time out to pack up our house in a week and prepare for the move

Ignited the Move  and resigned from both of our jobs and made the jump to move to the Northern Ky and Cincy Area

October
Spent the month unemployed as a stay at home wife getting our house all set up and finally feeling homey. I don't know who enjoyed me being home more....me or Kev. I think he could get used to coming home to a spotless house and dinner hot on the table.

Reunited with some friends in Lexington for the Florida Georgia Line Concert

November

Spent Thanksgiving with those we love most

December

We spent most of the month in Christmas high gear.
decorating the house and putting up not one, but five trees
sent out our first Christmas cards
spent the end of the month with family

and rang in the new year with my BFF Meg for her 30th birthday

Now bring it on 2014. We are ready for ya!
