I have never been a big anniversary person. I can't tell you the date Kev and I started dating, I don't know our first kiss, I can't even recall the exact date he proposed without looking in my calendar. The only anniversary we count is our wedding day.
With that being said, we have had so much fun celebrating each month of marriage as they roll around on the 18th of every month -mostly just a cute card, some good chocolate or a sweet note.
But for 6 months of marriage, we had a nice lil date night in downtown Lexington.
For those of you who don't know, my Harley Davidson riding, tattooed, bearded hubby is a huge science fictiondungeons and dragons/ Star Trekkie NERD buff.
I mean huge!
And to tell you the truth, it's one of my favorite parts about him. I love and appreciate it.
It's so unexpected from him, and it's down right sweet to me.
Soooo, to say he has been excited about the Star Trek sequel, is quite the understatement.
Not gonna even pretend like I wasn't excited too, because I was.
We decided to go see the movie at Kentucky Theatre right smack dab in the middle of downtown Lex.
I love the historic feel to this place. It's so ornate.

This was actually Kev's first time there. I am a horrible wife and can't believe I haven't insisted on us going there before.
Look at the inside - don't you just love the feel to it?
The charm, character and overall experience of watching a movie feels so nostalgic.
Did I mention you can order beer, wine and bourbon at the concession stand?
Yeah, it's pretty much a win - win there.
After the movie, we had a lovely dinner on the patio of Cole's.
Me- Shrimp and Grits (of course - i hardly pass it up!)
Kev - Seared Tuna
It was our first time eating there, and boy was it good. We will definitely be going back!
I even talked hubs into splitting a bottle of white with me. The man is a beer and bourbon drinker only, but I am trying my hardest to make him a bit of wino.
It was a perfect date night!
Cheers to 6 months of marriage, and a lifetime full of many more months to come

YAY! Cheers to six happy, blissful months! I haven't tried Cole's yet - but I have been wanting to. Will add it to my list now.
