Moving Outtakes and Closing Day

Finally getting back into the swing of things over here.
one.day.at.a.time.

Approx 4-5 weeks ago our lived were turned upside down when our home sweet home was placed on the market and sold in less than 48 hours.
Here is what some of that looked like

We loaded down the largest PODS they make along with one storage unit and a friend's basement. Who knew we had so much stuff?!?!

Packed to the brim

My sweet Mammy was there every step of the way to pack up our home. She's a doll and added the comic relief we needed during such a stressful time.

My momma came to the rescuse, as always. Kev and I could not have gotten through it without her. She's got the best packing skills known to man and she made everything flow smoothly. I hope I can be 1/2 the mom she is one day. She truly has super powers. I see them now more than ever.

Bye, bye memory wall :-(

So empty....and borderline depressing

Below - All that was left in the house the last night minus a mattress on the floor that Kev and I slept on.
I thought we would be really sad that night, but we were excited. Excited to make memories in our next house. Excited to raise our future children in the next house. Excited to start the next chapter in our lives.
The last night in the house was stressful, a wee bit sad and nostalgic all rolled into one.

What I do remember thinking that night was how strong Kev and I had been as husband and wife through what was a whirlwind of crazzzzzy and stress. We were there for each other every step of the way and pulled the other up when we needed our boot straps to be tightened. I am so proud of us and they way we handled this transition.

And then came closing day.......

And thank the stars and the man upstairs for sending me this little angel! Kev and I couldn't have done it without her and her support. She was a rock star with selling our house and helping us buy the new house. ROCK STAR!!
And I got a new friendship out of all this. We adore Dana!

And y'all know we had to have a family photo on closing day.

Bye bye 1st house. We will always be grateful for the memories and growth you gave us.

Next up - life in a hotel for three weeks with two enormous dogs
Boy oh boy was that fun.... (enter sarcasm)

I've never told you this but every time I come to your blog I start humming, "I'm just a summer girl, I wear my flip flops..." For some reason the title makes me think of that haha :P

Aren't you glad you asked me whether I thought Dana could sell your house? ;) hahaha Love Miss Uggie and her Awkward sitting dog poses....hehe

Those last two pictures are just adorable! I can't imagine what your next few weeks are going to be like in the hotel, but I'm sure it will be worth it! Good luck!
