It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Not gonna lie, it has taken me a lil longer this year to find the Christmas spirit.
Sad right?
I mean it is by far my favorite holiday.
I just haven’t gotten that caught up in the hustle and bustle of it this year, well, until now.
Today when I was blasting out some country Christmas jams in my car..low and behold it began to….SNOW
That was all it took for this girl to find the inner Christmas crazy inside.

So tonight KR and I busted out some Christmas decorations at his place.
Last year, I put up at least 4 or 5 trees in his house,
But this year I have put my foot down.
We are getting a REAL tree

I grew up in a house where putting up the Christmas tree is a HUGE tradition.
My dad and brother would always go pick out the tree while my mom and I put decorations up around the house and baked.
Makes me smile so much thinking about it.
In the house I grew up in, every Christmas we had a huge 10-12 foot live tree that was decorated with colored lights, my brother and my homemade construction paper ornaments, homemade clay ornaments, candy canes, holiday barbie ornaments and professional football figurines. It was basically your extra large Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
It wasn’t about it having all the right matchy matchy theme or pretty glass balls.
It was about reflecting ffamily.
My mom still hangs ornaments that my brother and I made her over 10 years ago.
The Christmas Tree is one of my favorite parts of the holiday season.
So the moral of the story is that Christmas trees are a big deal to me.
Tomorrow Kev and I will purchase our first live tree together….I cant freakin wait! Photos to come!
Kev and I put up a fake tree this evening in the front room that Kevin made into a formal office. This guy works from home the majority of the time and I know he is going to love looking at the tree during his workday. We are gonna put the real tree in the living room this week.
I also put some things up around his home. It is definitely feeling like Christmas around here. Take a look for yourself

Please ignore lack of window treatments
The office is needing a woman's touch in there....hehe

Bailey was tuckered out from school today and was not his elf-self

Two doggie stockings
A shoe stocking for me with fur and pizazz
and the blue on is kevin's
We need to upgrade the stockings. We have had these since 2009.

Uggie is always daddy's helper

She is so darn curious about everything. It is very precious

So sweet :-)

Kev did most of the work on the tree, with careful instruction from me of course, while  put up the stockings, snowmen, and a couple of santa clauses.

The tree turned out great!

It looks fabulous!

And we have one present under the tree for Moi.

See!!

I am a little excited

I tried shaking the pretty box, but couldn't hear a thing. Gonna have to wait a couple more weeks till Santa comes to see this gal.

So excited I found my inner Christmas spirit.
Definitely counting my blessings this holiday season
Life is so good.

Hope you all are having great weeks!
