Due Date: Sept 1st
Baby Size: at 28 weeks -an eggplant....almost 15 inches long and weighs 2.5 pounds
at 29 weeks - the size of an acorn squash....15 inches long and weighs in at 3 pounds
Movement: constant kicks, rolling around and a few quick jabs to let me she is doing just fine.
Feeling: still feeling great overall! my pubic bone and pelvic pain have lessened over these past two weeks. i am starting to get more tired in the evening and also not sleeping as well which is all to be expected in the third trimester
Food Cravings: Fresh Fruit! I am talking watermelon, blackberries, peaches, blueberries and strawberries. I start my mornings off with a plate piled high. Also still loving lots of fresh, raw veggies. So thankful to be preggo during the summertime when all this yumminess is in season. Also can't get enough of turkey brauts on the grill with yellow mustard. Really yellow mustard on anything sounds amazing.
Food Aversions: nothing really over the past two-three weeks.
Clothes: maternity jeans, maxi dresses, pre-maternity leggins and pre-maternity long tees and tanks. For work this week I ordered maternity scrubs. My regular scrubs fit fine while i am standing, but when I sit down I can't stand them tight on the bump. Lululemon has been my staple and go-to and I will be able to rock it after too. At home I live for loose tank tops and super thin pajama leggins or shorts. I can't stand being hot now that it is getting warmer.
Stretch Marks: i noticed a new pink mark at the bottom of my boobie last week, but i am not for sure if its one or not. I continue to lather up with bio oil and super thick lotion during the morning and night.
Sleep: well this week sleep has not been going as well as it has in the past. I have a harder time getting comfortable and turn a lot from side to side. I think a lot of it has to do with pre-baby anxiety and all the things we need to be doing. Also, waking up 2-3 times per night for potty breaks is also the pits. I have had a couple night's of pregnancy insomnia too.
Symptoms: thank goodness the heartburn has eased up a bit. Some continued SPD (symphysis pubic dysfunction), but nothing like last week Constant urination, evening fatigue. Bending over is getting harder as my bump is really out front. I also find myself having more difficulty breathing when i bend over...shaving my legs this week was a joke...ha! .
What I Miss: Sleeping through the night, Working out, Beer, being able to bend over comfortably.
Things that aren't my favorite: more fatigued in the evenings. the constant urination. who knew one could urinate so much in one day or one night??! pregnancy insomnia shows it's ugly head at least once per week
Best and Most Memorable Moments this week Week 27 - baby bedding arriving!!!! i am still swooning over it-ordering plantation shutters for Livi's room-kev's parents coming to visit. his momma brought baby girl a butt load of goodies. so so sweet -having an emotional church experience during "the launch event".....just being blown away about God's plan for Kev and I-hospital orientation and birth class. Kev made it through...just barely haha! the man HATES hospitals. he turned a bit purple a time or two, but was a trooper. he said afterwards he had never heard the words vagina, maxi pad, cervix and blood so much in his life.
Week 28 -getting to the third trimester and realizing we will have a sweet baby girl here by the end of summer - MD appt and realizing we now start going every TWO WEEKS! Crazy!-doing kick counts and realizing how active our sweet baby girl is...I feel like I get ten counts in ten seconds lol!!!-celebrating my last birthday before becoming a momma with kev -shower invitations are rolling in and they warm my heart so much
Week 29 -working in the nursery and finishing the gallery wall-the delivery of the big white furry rug for the nursery that bailey and I are obsessed with....we like to take naps on it. he really thinks the nursery is his new room haha. -had our 3d/4d scan and our little girl wanted no part of it....she hid from us almost the entire time....needless to say we are rescheduling.
I can't believe we get to meet this precious baby girl at the end of summer. The love we have for her is already overwhelming...I can't even begin to imagine what that love will feel like when we hold her in our arms for the first time.
