Most of y'all already know that Kev and I are DOG CRAZY!
Like those people, who are a wee bit over the top when it comes their fur children.
But hey, that is a-okay in our book.
There was absolutely no question that we were going to have them be involved in our wedding day.
Once we worked out the details and hired a doggy wrangler, we knew they just had to walk down the aisle and be part of our ceremony.
My brother, of course, was the lucky member of the wedding party who was chosen to escort our sweet Bailey boy and Uggie Sue during the ceremony.
Baby bro is a trooper.
And I think the dogs stole my thunder, just a bit.....
maybe the burlap bow tie and tutu had something to do with it?
I remember watching them go into the barn with baby bro, followed by sweet laughter while waiting with my dad and the bridesmaids in the holding area.
Strangely, it calmed my nerves in those moments right before I would make my way down to my groom.
They walked down after the groomsmen and before the bridesmaids, so Kev got to see the whole thing. I had to wait till our wedding video arrived to see our guests' reactions.
The doggies did soooooo well. They were so calm and collected.
I could not have been more proud :-)
My brother handed them off to our doggy wrangler and we met up with them afterwards for some photos in the winery's vineyards.
It was worth having them there for this one photo....it's my favorite of the entire day
It's our little family :-)
Keep in mind, Uggie is how Kev and I met.
Him sitting on his front porch with her and me asking to pet her. I will always remember him saying that she gets a little spooked with strangers, but not with me. She let me pet and love all her over.
She knew it was love at first sight, dogs have that sixth sense really working for them ya know?
