A few things...

Happy Saturday!

It is a beautiful day in the bluegrass today and the weather forecast projects a gorgeous Memorial weekend.

Just a few things you may not know about me. Enjoy!

I am orginally from an itty bitty town tucked away in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. I am so blessed to have grown up in a town that pride’s itself on family and faith.  I truly feel that my “country raising” has molded me into a better person today. I appreciate it now more than ever. (Look at those gorgeous mountains in the back ground…pic was taken last fall. Fall is my favorite time of year in the mountains.)
I have been with my sweetie, Kevin (or Rex as some know him), for nearly 2 ½ years. . You may see me refer to him as Kevin, Kev, Kevin Rex, Rexxy, or KRW. Let’s just be clear this is the same person.
My family is my life! I have the best parents any gal could every ask for. They are the closet things to angels that I have encounterd.  My mom and dad have been married for over 30 years and still love each as much now as they did the day they got married. I know it sounds cliché, but they created the storybook home for my brother and I to grow up in. I love them so, so, so very much.

“God smiles on my little brother
inside and out
he is better than I am “
– Taylor Swift

My  baby brother, Charlie, is my hero! He is my only sibling and is 6 years younger than me. I love him more than he will ever know. He is our family’s lil athlete and is currently a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky Univeristy where he plays football . I am so proud of him and know that he has always been deemed for greatness. He truly is wise beyond his years (Oprah would call him an old soul) and if you sat down to chat with him you would never know he was just 20 years old. My life has been, and continues to be, better because of him.

I made this t-shirt when he was in high school. I wore it proudly to every football game :)

Our doggies
I have an adorable 4 legged child named Bailey. I always say that I cant imagine how much you love your children, because I know how much I love my dogs. Bailey is a white boxer that I have had since he was 6 weeks old. Bailey Boy just turned 5 in April. He is so playful and loving and thinks all 97 pounds of him can fit in our laps at any given time. He loves people and spending time at the dog park and is absolutely terrified of thunderstorms.

Uggie is Kevin’s English Bulldog. Uggie will be four in july and she is a stubborn lil princess who rules our roost. I am such a dog person. The dogs get treats and birthday cakes from the dog barkery, pampering, trips to doggie day care, and even their pictures made with santa. I am sure there will be plenty of blog posts involving my doggie children.

I graduated from Transylvania University in Lexinton Ky in 2006. I loved attending a small libeal arts college with an enrollment of only about 1,100 people. I had a wonderful college experience at Transy and formed some great friendships. I look back on my time at Transy with many memories that I will always cherish. After Transy, I earned my Masters at Eastern Kentucky University in Occupational Therapy. As on OT, I get to teach people with phsycial and cognitive disabilites how to live life. I have a very rewarding job and I am so fortunate to be able to do what I do every day.

That’s all for today friends. Hope you all have a great Memorial Weekend!
