Makeup Time

So this past weekend I did a little damage at Macy's and Sephora. It feel like I was out of everrrrrything and had to stock up on my daily necessities. Not to mention I am pale as a ghost and I finally had to drop down a hue to not look so orange in the winter months. Ugh...I hate winter. I refuse to lay in the tanning bed, however I am a sucker for the versa spray tan. Regardless I needed new foundation and powder. As bad I wanted to use my summer colors, I had to face the music.  Here a couple of the products I picked up.

I recently tried a lot of Chanel products back in the summer and I wasn't too impressed. I went back to my old faithful...M.A.C. I like it just as much and it is not near as expensive.

Studio Fix powder plus foundation in NC35

I like this because it's a one-step application of foundation and powder. I don't wear a lot of makeup to work. A major perk of working as a therapist, it is not a beauty pageant. In fact, heavy makeup is frowned upon. Or at least I would be the odd man out. I secretly love that I don't have to get all dolled up for work though. Anywho, back to the product, I use this daily when I don't want to do a liquid foundation. It's a lot quicker. It goes on smooth and leaves a matte finish. Another major plus is that it is long lasting and gives good coverage.

I also go the Pro Longwear Foundation in NC35

This is the first time I have tried it. I am usually a Studio Fixed Fluid kinda gal, but I wanted to give this a trial.

So far so good. It feels much lighter than the Studio Fixed Fluid foundation and M.A.C claims it lasts up to 15 hours. Now I don't know about that, but I do feel it lasts longer. It's medium coverage, but you can do a light amount for less coverage or add more for heavier coverage. That is what I LOVE about it.

So i confess, I am a picker. Meaning I have a problem picking my face. My dermatologist wants to kill me. I make blemishes a million times worse on my face because I cant keep my fingers out of them. Gross I know. This concealer covers those babies up. I don't like it for under my eyes though. It brings out major yellow undertones in my olive skin. But to cover those blemishes and nasty places on my face, this is my go to.

My favorite blush EVER! It adds just the right amount of pink/rosy tints to the cheeks. Can't go without it.



Clinque Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

My. Favorite! Enough said.

It never leaves me feeling greasy and that is why I love it.

Clinque All About Eyes

 It helps reduce puffiness and those bags that creep up under the eyes. It is supposed to assist with reducing fine lines too. I am trying to give my skin a little extra TLC as I am getting older.

I got a few other new things that I haven't really gotten to trial yet. Will let you know the verdict soon.

I am loving that I have a three day work week and today is my friday. woot woot!

I am loving the reason I have a three day work week is because of these two love birds :)

I am traveling home to Eastern Kentucky for the remainder of the week to get ready for Miss Megan and Justin's BIG WEDDING DAY on Saturday. I cant wait to be a part of their special, special day. It is extra special to me because I know both the bride and groom so well. Justin is one of my best guy pals from home. We grew up in the same lil small town tucked away in the mountains of eastern ky. I met miss Megan in OT school and we ended up being roomies. She is one of my best friends. Friends like her come around once in a lifetime. She has a true heart of gold and has ALWAYS been there for me. I could never repay her back for all the love and support she has given me over the past 2 months during "the transition". I love you Meg. I am so flippin excited for saturday. This couple gets it! They are building such a great future together and their love for each other is so obvious. I am so blessed to have both of them in my lives and look forward to wathcing them spend happily ever after together! CANT.WAIT!

I am loving that the baby brother is traveling to Kansas State University for his football game of the season this week. While I am super bummed that he is missing the wedding with me, I am so excited for him. This will be his first time on a jet plane :).  Love you bub! Here are some photos of the "Meet the Colonel" event my mama and I went to on sunday. I am pumped about football season and to cheer on baby bro and his pals who I am pretty fond of too. He has such a great group of friends....he is literally having the time of his life. I love it!

I am loving that my bestie, Katrina, is an auntie! Katrin'a sister gave birth to a beautiful boy last week. I get to meet lil Magnus tomorrow and i cant wait. My bestie is only 2 weeks behind her sister and will soon be giving birth to another lil boy here in the next week or so. I cant wait to spol these lil boys rotten!!!

I am LOVING that I am grilling out this evening. Grilling chicken and I am baking a green bean casserole....and it is gonna be finger lickin good!

I am LOVING that I am traveling to my hometown in Eastern KY this weekend to spend the July 4th weekend with my family. I havent been home since Christmas! Crazyness...I am the gal who used to go home every other weekend. The good thing is that my parents are always traveling up to Lex to visit my brother and I. However, there is simply no place like home!  I am gonna lay by the pool and maybe go for a hike, and of course barbeque and eat my mama's country cooking.

I am LOVING that my BFF is almost 29 weeks preggo! I cant wait to meet baby Trigg this fall. Meet my very best bestie, Katrina. Look at her adorbale baby bump! Katrina and her husband, Will, are gonna be AMAZING parents. Katrina and her older sister, April, are just two weeks apart in their pregnancies. Both are gonna have little boys come September. I cant wait to meet their little bundles of joy.

I am LOVING the chocolate eclair cake I made yesterday. So easy and sooooo good. I am not loving that I cant keep my sticky fingers out of it.

I am LOVING this weather! Not a cloud in the sky in the bluegrass today.

I am LOVING my Urban Decay naked pallete. The colors are so pretty and stay on all day long. I am LOVING that it was actually in stock at Sephora.

I am LOVING the overnight oats recipe I stumbled upon over at Peanut Butter Runner! They are super easy and quick. A great go-to on those morning I have to leave the house for the hospital at 620am. They are a combination of oats, yogurt, and milk that you chill overnight. I have been adding lots of fresh fruit to mine and sugar-free jam for some sweetness. I am obsessed with fresh peaches and have been adding them to my new breakfast on the go. The recipe can be found at the link above.

I am LOVING the book Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind. It has been such a blessing.
